Bedtime Story

This was told to me recently...

A little Cherokee boy asked his grandfather to tell him a story. The grandfather said that inside of us, there are two wolves that are always fighting. One wolf is everything evil: anger, fear, jealousy, envy, selfishness. The other wolf is everything good: peace, happiness, giving, love, hope. The little boy was very confused by this and asked his grandfather which wolf wins. To which the grandfather replied, "the one that you feed."

How about this story? There are two Mr. Anonymous posters. One poster is timid, shy, creepy, and overly expressive in an inappropriate way. The other is ME. A cool, aloof asshole who Debbie only wishes would kiss her. Debbie is confused by these two Anonymous Posters and asked her friend which Mr. Anonymous she should let inside of her. To which her friend replied, "the one that feeds you at Il Mulino."

Yeah, this sounded funnier when i was writing it as opposed to re-reading it. Oh well.

Thank you Jeff for this posting. Yes, it would be fun to have lots of anonymous posters, especially if they take me to il Mulino.

And it is nice to see that Mr. Anon still reads the blog.

it's funny... i've never really put much thought into it until now, but we often eat and select certain foods for the emotional responses they give us. i can't think of things i eat when i'm angry or pissed off, right now, but i can certainly think of stuff that i eat that makes me happy. ice-cream, mac & cheese, chips & queso, chocolate, to name just a few.

kinda makes you think about where the ole' "food for thought" saying came from.
